The ADHD Woman Workshop
Why you’re overwhelmed, why you can’t “just do it”, and how to start working with your brain instead of fighting it.
Saturday 14 November | 10:30am–1:00pm | Picton
A practical, interactive workshop for women who are tired of knowing exactly what they need to do… and still not being able to bloody do it.
“I know what I need to do… so why can’t I just DO IT?”
You can be intelligent, capable and incredibly driven…
and still avoid replying to one email for three days.
You can manage everyone else’s needs beautifully…
but forget the appointment you’ve been meaning to make for weeks.
You can hyperfocus for hours on something that interests you…
then feel almost physically unable to start a ten-minute task you don’t want to do.
And eventually, it stops being about the task.
It becomes:
“I’m lazy.”
“I’m inconsistent.”
“I have no discipline.”
“I never follow through.”
“Why am I like this?”
What if the answer isn’t to try harder?
What if you need to understand the brain you’re actually working with?
This isn’t another workshop about buying a better planner 😂
You probably already have one.
Possibly five.
This workshop is about understanding what is happening underneath the overwhelm, procrastination, overthinking, emotional intensity and difficulty getting started.
And then learning practical ways to work with it.
We’ll combine ADHD psychoeducation with practical exercises and selected NLP-informed tools around language, state, behaviour and self-trust.
No fixing you.
No telling you to “just be more organised”.
No pretending ADHD disappears if you make a prettier to-do list.
We’re going to explore…
Why you can WANT to do something and still not start
Understanding task initiation, motivation and the gap between knowing and doing.
Why small things sometimes feel ridiculously BIG
Learn how to break overwhelming tasks down until your brain can actually see a way in.
What you’ve started believing about yourself
“I’m lazy.”
“I always fail.”
“I’m hopeless.”
We’ll look at the language you use about yourself and separate ADHD behaviour from identity.
State before strategy
Sometimes the problem isn’t that you don’t know what to do.
You’re trying to do it while overwhelmed, frozen, bored, scattered or emotionally flooded.
We’ll explore practical ways to shift your state and create movement.
Rebuilding self-trust
After years of saying…
“I’ll do it tomorrow.”
“I’ll start Monday.”
“I won’t forget this time.”
…it can become hard to trust yourself.
But self-trust isn’t built by making bigger promises.
It’s built by keeping smaller ones.
You’ll walk away with…
A better understanding of how your ADHD brain may operate.
Practical tools for overwhelm and getting started.
Ways to make tasks feel smaller and more achievable.
Tools for changing unhelpful self-talk.
Strategies for shifting state when you feel stuck or scattered.
A different way of thinking about motivation, consistency and follow-through.
And hopefully a lot less:
“What is wrong with me?”
…and a lot more:
“Okay. I know what’s happening. What does my brain need right now?”
Is this workshop for me?
The ADHD Woman is for adult women who:
Have been diagnosed with ADHD.
Are exploring whether ADHD might be part of their experience.
Have spent years feeling overwhelmed, scattered, forgetful or inconsistent.
Can be incredibly capable in one area and completely stuck in another.
Struggle with procrastination, overthinking or emotional overwhelm.
Have spent far too long believing those struggles mean something negative about who they are.
You do not need a formal ADHD diagnosis to attend.
Bring your beautifully busy brain exactly as it is.
Bring a notebook.
Bring a pen.
Bring your questions.
And maybe bring that thing you’ve been avoiding for three weeks even though it should technically take about five minutes. 😂
We might just work with it.
What others have to say…
